A missing 10-year-old London boy who police fear may have slipped into a coma because he had not taken his medication has been found.

Metropolitan Police launched an urgent appeal to find Malakhi Chijiutomi-Ghosh after he ran away from his home in Thornton Heath, south London.

It was feared the boy, who suffers from adrenal hyperplasia, could have fallen ill due to not taking his medication three times a day as required.

Following the appeal, police confirmed Malakhi was found by an off-duty police officer in Hertfordshire. The boy was believed to have caught a bus at some point in Brixton.

He has been taken to hospital as a precautionary measure.
