The 23rd MTV Europe Music Awards will return with a star-studded party broadcast live from Rotterdam, Netherlands on 6 November at 8pm EST. Who all are performing at the 2016 EMAs

Hosted by MTV VJ Becca Dudley, the mega event will see hit performances by popular bands One Republic and DNCE. Also joining the party are newcomers Zara Larsson and Canadian pop star Shawn Mendes, along with some smashing hits by G-Eazy, Idris Elba, and 24K Magic singer Bruno Mars, who will be performing his new single for the first time for a live audience.

Nominations for this year's MTV EMAs

With five nominations each, Beyonce and Bieber lead the pack and are closely followed by British singer Adele, who has garnered four nominations. Among other stars, who might win big at the MTV EMAs, are recently separated couple Rihanna and Drake – who got nominated for Work – and Kanye West and Ariana Grande.

Even Coldplay and Zayn Malik have received nods for this year's EMAs along with Lady Gaga, Sia and The Chainsmokers.
