Benjamin Netanyahu is proving that he is still very much alive and well. The Israeli Prime Minister has appeared in a new viral video shot in a coffee shop, a casual setting that conveniently debunks all the death rumours. The footage also features Netanyahu sharing some words of encouragement with his supporters and the Israeli people.

Netanyahu Debunks Death Rumours in Viral Coffee Video

The Israeli PM posted a light-hearted video on his official account on the social platform X. In the clip, he appears relaxed and joking when an off-screen voice informs him about the rumours.

Speaking in Hebrew, he responds incredulously to the claims, saying, 'They say I'm what?' before raising his hands and clearly showing that he has five fingers on each hand.

The gesture was intended to debunk the strange online theories and demonstrate that the viral speculation about 'six fingers' in a viral death video was simply an illusion or distortion from a screenshot.

Netanyahu also had a strong message for Israelis who are headed overseas. Although he encourages them to go, the PM also insisted that they should 'stay near a protected area'.

He also confirmed that the government has plans that he cannot disclose just yet, but reminded his supporters to keep following Home Front Command orders at all times.

Viral Clip Or AI Trick? The Internet Weighs In

Not surprisingly, the new video was met with strong reactions. While most of the Prime Minister's supporters were delighted to see Netanyahu joking and sharing words of encouragement, others believe that the footage was AI-generated to silence the death rumours.

Some were quick to notice that the coffee in the Prime Minister's cup did not move or spill when he picked it up from the counter. Many also pointed out that Netanyahu was holding his coffee cup in an awkward position, claiming that people would not normally hold their cup with only their little finger supporting the bottom.

Meanwhile, some netizens did not question whether the video itself is real. Rather, they wanted to know when the footage was taken, since the video does not have a timestamp to prove it was taken this year. One user even pointed out that the date on the coffee shop's till shows a date from 2024.

Despite the mixed reactions to the video, Netanyahu's office quickly backed up the message, confirming that reports about his death were false and urging the public not to believe misinformation spreading online. Officials also described the rumours as fake news and emphasised that the Prime Minister continues to carry out his duties during a period of intense regional conflict.

Despite the online frenzy, Netanyahu has also continued making public appearances and communicating through official channels. His video message served not only as a rebuttal to the rumours but also as a reminder of the growing challenge of combating misinformation during global crises.

By responding directly and humorously, Netanyahu aimed to put the speculation to rest, literally showing his five fingers as proof that the rumours about his death were truly unfounded.
