A 19-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder after a teenager was stabbed in the heart during a brawl in west London.

Khalid Safi, 18, died after being found seriously injured in Victoria Road, North Acton, when police were called to reports of a fight at about 6.30pm on 1 December.

He was taken to hospital where he died a short time later. A post-mortem at Uxbridge Mortuary gave cause of death as a stab wound to the heart.

Scotland Yard said a woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder at an address in Redbridge, north-east London, on Wednesday (7 December).

She has been bailed to return on a date in early January pending further enquiries.

The Met Police said Safi was recently living in Southwark but had links to Wembley, Peterborough and Walsall.

Detectives continue to appeal for witnesses or anyone with information to contact them.

Detective Chief Inspector Sam Price, leading the investigation, said:"There were a lot of people in the area of Victoria Road at the time of the incident and, while we have spoken to several people, I believe that not everyone has come forward at this time.

"I am continuing to appeal for anyone who witnessed the fatal stabbing or the moments leading up to it to contact officers in the incident room. I would urge anyone who can assist our investigation to come forward as soon as possible."
