The filming of Pirates Of The Caribbean 5 has resumed in Australia after Johnny Depp recovered from the injuries he sustained on the sets of Dead Men Tell No Tales.

Movie producer Jerry Bruckheimer is letting the world know that the fantasy swashbuckler movie franchise is back in action to offer another exciting journey by Captain Jack Sparrow and the sea pirates.

Bruckheimer has released the first on-set picture of the Disney movie featuring Depp who appears to be captured and tied up by some sea miscreants.

According to the plot synopsis, the legendary pirate will lose his luck in the sea again but this time at the hands of some of his old enemies who turned into deadly sea ghosts.

This will prompt Captain Sparrow to begin the quest for the 'Trident of Poseidon', owning which will allow him to rule the sea again.

Screenrant suspects that Sparrow is aboard the ship of main villain Captain Salazar, who is on a mission to kill all the sea pirates.

The synopsis for Dead Men Tell No Tales via Collider reads:

Thrust into an all-new adventure, a down-on-his-luck Captain Jack Sparrow finds the winds of ill-fortune blowing even more strongly when deadly ghost pirates led by his old nemesis, the terrifying Captain Salazar (Bardem), escape from the Devil's Triangle, determined to kill every pirate at sea...including him. Captain Jack's only hope of survival lies in seeking out the legendary Trident of Poseidon, a powerful artifact that bestows upon its possessor total control over the seas.

The fourth instalment of the movie titled On Stranger Tide earned over $1bn worldwide, making it one of Disney's most successful movies ever. This time the Mouse House has return to narrate another legendary journey of the sea pirates, the sea captain and his ship the Black Pearl.

Apart from Depp, series veterans Orlando Bloom, Geoffrey Rush, Kevin R McNally and Stephen Graham are set to return to the fan favourite franchise to reprise their roles.

Written by Jeff Nathanson, Pirates Of The Caribbean 5 is being directed by Espen Sandberg and Joachim Ronning and is scheduled to premiere on 7 July 2017.
