The cast and crew of Power are all set to start filming season 3 of the hit Starz drama in New York City. They have been posting teasers about the upcoming episodes on social media so fans can get an idea of what to expect.
Executive producer Courtney Kemp Agboh and her team of writers are hard at work and it remains to be seen how the season 3 storyline will play out. In her recent interview with Madame Niore, Kemp Agboh teased, "I just pitched the Season 3 arc to the heads of PR and Marketing and their teams... Everyone was on the edge of their seats like 'Oh, my God! No Way! You're not going to f--king do that! Noooo!' ...They've been my only audience so far, but they're pretty excited."
Meanwhile, Power cast members got together recently for their first table read of season 3, reports The Young, Black and Fabulous. The St Patrick family (Omari Hardwick, Naturi Naughton, Michael Rainey Jr and Donshea Hopkins) was joined by Kanan (50 Cent). The rapper/actor posted the following image on his Instagram captioning it, "POWER season3 will be even better. We are turning it up a notch."
The YBF report also speculates that Rotimi (Olurotimi Akinosho) will be stepping his screen time up as the right-hand man of Ghost. "The fact that he was at the FIRST table read of the season means producers have big plans for him," states the website.
There is no confirmation on the premiere date of Power season 3 as yet, but it is likely to follow the air dates of previous seasons and could air in June 2016. Season 1 premiered in June 2014, followed by season 2, which premiered in June 2015.
