Just a few days back, rumours surfaced suggesting that Happy New Year star Deepika Padukone refused a role opposite Salman Khan in his upcoming film Sultan. Several fans chose to believe that it might be because of her inclination towards the 'Shahrukh Khan Camp' in Bollywood. However, the actress decided to clear her stand on the matter.
During a recent interview, Padukone was candid about her equation with SRK and when questioned about being a part of his camp, she said, "I have never taken anyone's side or belonged to any camp." (via Bollywood Life)
When asked whether she would be open to working with Salman Khan in the future, she replied:
"I believe working with Salman would be an experience in itself and I would love to go through that."
Well, after reportedly refusing an item song in Kick and letting go of the role in Sultan, maybe the Finding Fanny actress is waiting for the right role opposite the Dabangg star.
Padukone is currently busy promoting her upcoming big film, Happy New Year, with Shahrukh Khan. This will be her third movie with SRK after her debut film Om Shanti Om and the 2013 monster hit Chennai Express.
Happy New Year is set to release on 23 October, 2014.
