Suicide Squad
Suicide Squad opens in theatres on 5 August 2016 Warner Bros. Pictures

Warner Bros Pictures has released an image from its much anticipated anti-superhero movie Suicide Squad and it appears there will be a pleasant chemistry between Deadshot (Will Smith) and Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie).

The picture was released by LA Times in their article about the summer movie previews and it reveals some gentle moments between the expert assassin and the crazed former psychiatrist as they exchange smiles while getting lost in each other's eyes. The chemistry between the two most dangerous anti-superheroes of the DC universe has always been a matter of mystery and it will be interesting to see how David Ayer is going to explore their equation in the Warner Brothers produced movie.

Here is a brief background to the relationship between the two notorious Suicide Squad members: In the DC comic book, The New 52, Harley steals the skin of the Joker from Gotham Police Department and later kidnaps Deadshot and tries to communicate with her dead lover by placing the skinned face on him. Using it as a golden chance to escape, Deadshot seduces her and later injures her severely before getting himself free.

In the animation series Batman: Assault On Arkham, Harley shows a soft corner for the former assassin but ultimately moves on with the Joker.

Suicide Squad will see an ensemble of imprisoned super villains in furious action as they will be assigned to save the world by defeating a superpower threat. Amanda Waller, the boss of a secret government agency known as Task Force X, will execute the top secret mission in exchange for clemency for the deadly prisoners.

It remains to be seen how she is going to manage the villains in order to execute the massive task of saving the world. The Squad will premiere on 5 August in the US. Also starring in the movie are Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag, Jai Courtney as Boomerang, Jay Hernandez as El Diablo and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc.
