Taylor Swift has released the video of an acoustic version of her hit single Blank Space. In the clip, the 26-year-old Shake it Off hitmaker revealed the song was in response to the media's fixation with painting her a "psycho serial dater girl".

"My first reaction was to be like man that's a bummer, this isn't fun for me," she says in the YouTube video.

"But then my second reaction ended up being, hey that's actually kind of a really interesting character they're writing about, she jet sets around the world collecting men, and she can get any of them, but she's so clingy that they leave and she cries, and then she gets another one in her web and she traps them and locks them in her mansion and then she's crying in her marble bathtub surrounded by pearls," the singer says before performing the acoustic version of Blank Space.

The American singer had performed the song, along with other hits from her album 1989, at the Clive Davis Theater on 30 September 2015 to celebrate her attendance record-breaking exhibits at the Grammy Museum.

The singer shared the video on her social media account and captioned it Magic, Madness, Heaven and Sin.

A few days back, she had released the video of her solo Wildest Dreams performance at the same theatre.

The singer/songwriter, who was formerly in a relationship with British singer Harry Style, is currently dating Scottish singer/DJ Calvin Harris. She planned to take a break from music after wrapping up her 1989 World Tour in December 2015.
