The Aransas County (Texas) Court-At-Law Judge, William Adams has had video footage of him beating his 16-year-old daughter, Hilary dozens of times with a leather belt.

The video has sparked outrage among the online community.

In the video, Hilary is slammed against the bed and whipped with the belt until she bends over like her father asks.

She is hit multiple times "as punishment for using the internet to acquire music and games that were unavailable for legal purchase at the time."

"Judge William Adams is not fit to be anywhere near the law system if he can't even exercise fit judgement as a parent himself. Do not allow this man to ever be re-elected again. His "judgement" is a giant farce. Signed, Hillary Adams, his daughter," the description says.

The Aransas County Court is unavailable for comment and Judge Adam's office landline has been disconnected.

Adams repeatedly also verbally abuses his daughter saying: "I'm going to beat you into submission" and "take it like a 16-year-old girl should, like a woman."

The relentless attack continues until Hilary's mother enters and joins the assault, at which point, Judge Adams becomes bored of watching and fetches a second belt.

"The debate between critics of corporal punishment and its defenders has rolled on nonstop since the time of Quintilian, who 2000 years ago in ancient Roman, wrote: 'It is a disgusting and slavish treatment... It's a source of shame that unnerves and depresses the mind.' In my opinion, his assessment hasn't been discredited or improved upon. But, for the moment at least, I suggest we restrain ourselves from further talk. It's tempting, but it's mostly redundant. Let's just view the video being widely circulated on the Internet today showing Texas Judge William Adams beating his daughter with leather belt. That says it all," said Jordan Riak, Executive Director of Parents and Teachers Against Violence in Education,

The YouTube user who uploaded the original video has said in the mother's defence: "The judge's wife was emotionally abused herself and was severely manipulated into assisting the beating and should not be blamed for any content in this video. The judge's wife has since left the marriage due to the abuse, which continues to this day, and has sincerely apologized and repented for her part and for allowing such a thing, long before this video was even revealed to exist."

The video was taken seven years ago, and appears to be revenge for over a decade of verbal and physical abuse.
