Tottenham manager Tim Sherwood says his side showed real character to win 3-2 against Southampton. The Saints took a two goal lead at White Hart Lane within the first 30 minutes, after strikes from Jay Rodriguez and Adam Lallana.

Christian Eriksen scored both sides of half time, before a last minute goal from Gylfi Sigurdsson sealed the three points for the North Londoners.

It was the first time Tottenham had come back to win from two goals down since they beat Arsenal 3-2 in 2010. Spurs had not won in their four previous games, and the result was a much needed victory if the side are to keep their slim hopes of qualifying for the Champions League alive.
