All the latest football transfer news from Manchester United. Sir Alex Ferguson is said to be eyeing up an eleventh hour move for Samir Nasri but could face competition from Inter Milan for Mario Goetze. Reports in England claim that Aston Villa is preparing a mover for Darron Gibson.

The Daily Mail claims that Sir Alex Ferguson is ready to hijack any deal between Arsenal midfielder Samir Nasri and Manchester City.

The newspaper claims that Manchester United has been closely monitoring Nasri's situation and the Manchester United manager believes he can lure the France midfielder to Old Trafford despite the player being in advanced talks with Manchester City.

Manchester United has been tracking the player all summer and it is believed that Nasri's first choice is the Premier League champions but the club have yet to make a firm offer for the player. Sir Alex Ferguson is said to be weighing up his chances of landing the player but knows his will struggle to match the £180,000 a week wages Manchester City are reportedly offering Nasri.

Eurosport UK has reported that Inter Milan are said to be weighing up a bid for Manchester United target Mario Goetze.

The German international is said to be Manchester United's number one transfer target this summer but Inter Milan are now ready to make an offer for the player. It could force Manchester United into a bidding war with the cash rich Italian club who, after the sale of Samuel Eto'o, could easily compete with Sir Alex Ferguson.

Goetze earlier this year admitted he 'dreams of playing' for United, but Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke recently insisted the £20million-rated teenager is not for sale.

"There may come interest, but we have not the slightest intention to sell Mario," Watzke said last month.

The Daily Mail continues its Manchester United transfer coverage today reporting that Aston Villa is preparing a £3.5 million bid for Darron Gibson.

The Republic of Ireland international has been told he is surplus to requirements at Old Trafford this season and has been told to look or a new club according to the newspaper. Aston Villa are said to be preparing a deal for the player who missed out on a move to Sunderland earlier in the summer.
