When YouTuber Zoella had the idea of a winter Love Island spin-off show called 'Love Iceland' – most fans were all for the idea, but appreciated it was a joke.

Now that the final is over and Kem and Amber are the winners with £50K in their pockets, we're wondering what we're going to do every night come 9pm. Get a social life, take up a new hobby or just hope they come up with a winter series of the show? We're liking the latter idea.

That wish may come true, as show bosses are said to be hoping to cash in on Love Island's popularity by launching a series for the colder months in a bid to rival Big Brother.

According to the Daily Star, it is being reported that producers are planning to stage another series of the hit ITV2 dating show in January, which would follow I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! That means it would run at the same time as Celebrity Big Brother, which would be big competition.

A source told the publication: "The public have shown they can't get enough of Love Island and this year has been the show's 'watercooler moment.'

"ITV is really keen to exploit the massive momentum it's got at the minute and bosses are thinking really big all the time."

The insider added: "Producers smell blood. They reckon Big Brother has had its day and one more smash-hit series of their show at the same time would push it over the edge."

A Love Island rep has since rubbished the claims by saying that "there is no truth in this".

The most recent series came to an end last night after loved-up Kem Cetinay and Amber Davies were crowned the winners.

Despite not winning, runners up Jamie Jewitt and Camilla Thurlow have been praised by the public, with many saying that Camilla is using her newfound fame to change the world with humanitarian causes rather than selling products in paid Instagram posts.

One said: "Camilla using Love Island as a platform for positive change is far more admirable than using it to sell teeth whitener tbh #LoveIsland."

Another put: "Everyone vote for camilla because she will spend the 50K on some new bombs in Africa for some hungry kids #loveisland."

After the winners were announced, one said: "Camilla and Jamie were robbed."
