Microsoft has released another update for Windows Phone 8.1 Preview for Developers.

Three months after Microsoft released the Windows Phone 8.1 Preview for Developers on 14 April, the company has released a new update to the Preview for Developers with build number 8.10.12393.890, reports GSMArena.

To check the availability of the update, head over to Settings >> Phone Update and click check for updates.

You will not be able to use the phone while the update is being installed, which should take five to 10 minutes. There is not much information as to what changes the 8.10.12393.890 build integrates but the release note suggests the update will make the phone work better and faster.

The current update is a follow-up to the previous build 8.10.12382.878, which adds plenty of bug fixes and some battery improvements.

Windows Phone 8.1 users experience a number of fresh features thanks to Cortana as the personal digital assistant.

The features include animations and Tile icons. Microsoft is reportedly testing these features for a wider rollout. Besides, new animation such as bouncy ball has been seen on the Lumia 1520. Those who wish to learn more about the changes in Cortana may click here.
