Adele has addressed long standing rumours she secretly married to her partner Simon Konecki. The British powerhouse used her concert at the Xcel Center in Minnesota on Tuesday night (5 July) as the perfect opportunity to set the record straight about her relationship status, telling fans that he was yet to pop the question.

The Grammy-winning songstress has been dating charity CEO Konecki – with whom she has three-year-old son Angelo – since 2011. Opening up to the crowd she said: "I might as well be married, but I'm not. I would tell you if I did."

She also poured cold water on claims she may soon be adding to her family, revealing that she is not interested in giving her son a little brother or sister.

"I don't think I can have another child. I mean, I can. But I don't think I want two."

She previously told Rolling Stone magazine that the couple never felt the need to make their relationship official. "We just haven't felt the need to get married.," she said in 2015. "We've got a kid together. I feel like that's a big enough commitment."

However, it appeared that she had had a change of heart in March this year when she was spotting with a new ring on her wedding finger. At the time a source told Heat magazine that Adele 'blurted' out the news of her engagement backstage at one of her recent world tour gigs. "It happened over Christmas apparently, at a really unexpected moment, when they were just at home hanging out – and she just burst out crying," the source said.
