Amazon Prime Day: What is it and what deals are on?

From beauty to technology, the online megastore is offering some fantastic deals for Prime customers.

Rather than joining the masses for the Black Friday haul in November, Amazon have chosen Tuesday (12 July) for their own hyped up shopping event, promising customers great deals across the site for one day only.

The deals are only reserved for the site's Prime customers who subscribe to their one day delivery service. There is an annual cost of £79 for the service but if you want to make the most of the discounts without committing to a year you can sign up now for a free one-month trial and get shopping today.

What are the discounts on offer?

Amazon have split the deals into two varying types: Lightning Deals and Deals of the Day.

The Lightning Deals will flash up throughout the day but only for a limited amount of time whilst Deals of the Day will be available to shop all day until midnight.

Prime Day is running deals all day throughout the US , The UK, Japan, Spain, Italy, France, Germany, Canada, Belgium and Austria.

What items have gone on sale?
