American Horror Story
Nope. Nope nope nope. 20th Century Fox

American Horror Story: Freak Show will air in the UK on Fox HD later this month.

The hit American anthology series created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk had its season four premiere in the US last night and will air in the UK on 21 October at 10pm.

Starring a recurring cast including Jessica Lange, Angela Bassett, Evan Peters and Kathy Bates, each season of the show casts its actors in new roles and tells a new story in a new setting. The first season was a classic horror, the second took place in an insane asylum, the third in a coven and now the fourth in a circus freak show.

American Horror Story: Freak Show takes place in 1950s Florida in the last freak shows of its kind in the US.

As this troupe of 'unusuals' arrive in town they coincide with the strange emergence of a dark entity that savagely threatens the lives of townsfolk and freaks alike. Could this be the twisted Clown Killer?

The debut has enjoyed good reviews. IGN Entertainment have given it a 7.6/10 praising its clown villain and the "good old fashioned murder driving the horror". The Telegraph meanwhile awarded it three stars, saying: "Thanks to Jessica Lange's rousing performance of Life on Mars, the fourth series of American Horror Story could be Ryan Murphy's freakiest monster mash yet."
