The people of Britain will be able to get up close and personal with therevered Burmese opposition leader Aung Sang Suu Kyi today as she spends her birthday here and meets politicians at the House of Commons. Last night the great and the good of Dublin turned out to give her a glorious reception after she'd received the Freedom of the City.

Irish singer and famed humanitarian Bono organised a star-studded bash for her and he was apparently stunned to silence in her presence.

And at an open air reception, she got an unexpected surprise. After that rousing concert, Aung Sang Suu Kyi's got a busy few days: meeting Prime Minister David Cameron, addressing Parliament and meeting Prince Charles and Camilla, The Duchess of Cornwall.
