The elastic band of Jockey Blake Shinn's breeches broke half-way through the Hyland Race Colours Plate race at Canterbury Park race course on 23 April leaving him with a dilemma: race on or pull up... and pull up!

He continued with his breeches falling down and finished a competitive second with his bottom displayed to all.

The 27-year-old Shinn later tweeted: 'Tried to give my fellow jocks a bum steer but unfortunately backfired.'

Local media said the acting chief steward of Canterbury Park said he had never seen anything like it. Appropriately a horse called Modesty finished third, right behind him.
