It was one of the best line ups in music at The Brit awards, but how did the stars fare in the all important fashion stakes?

From the flawless Beyonce to the enigmatic Katy Perry and the perfectly packaged Kylie, we pick the best and the worst dressed on the biggest night in music, from the stars who went all rock chick on us and the ones who turned out to be turkeys.

Of course, you can always rely on Beyonce to steal the show on any given night, but when she takes to the stage the natural beauty takes it to a whole other level in terms of her performance and her fashion. For the sultry rendition of her new track XO, Beyonce opted for a figure hugging emerald green glittering dress that sparkled under the spotlights.

Kylie Minogue rarely gets it wrong, but only she could get away with this one. Channelling her inner rock chick in a leather dress that was prettied up with two large bows, the Pop princess was the perfect package.

Rita Ora kept it demure in a floor length yellow gown by Prada with emerald green embellishments, and her hair left loose in soft waves. The Hot Right Now singer lived up to the title of her own track as she turned heads on the red carpet.

British model Rosie Huntington Whitely showed off her ultra long legs in a black and red striped mini dress by Yves St Laurent, that made sure all eyes were on her.

Goulding arrived on the red carpet at the O2 looking like the princess of the hour in a pink corset and white tulle skirt by Vivienne Westwood. While she won the red carpet wars she also walked away with the award for Best British Female.

But there were some sartorial disasters and from surprising quarters. The usually preened to perfection Nicole Scherzinger seemed to take the rock chick look too far in a dominatrix inspired get up that had us wondering what she was thinking.

Marrying loose fitting pants with a waist coat styled jacket and a mid-riff baring leather bustier with a neck embellishment, Scherzy missed the mark. And the Cleopatra eye make-up just wasn't helping.

It was a fashion low for Jessie J who also ruined a possibly passable outift with some questionable make up. Wearing a clinging, gold Julien Macdonald body suit, with plunging neckline, she ruined the whole look, oddly choosing to opt for a mauve lipstick.
