Candace Owens has intensified feud with Erika Kirk, widow of the late Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk. This time, sharing social media posts that suggest troubling patterns in Erika's past interactions and associations.

Owens' statements on X centre largely on a friendship between Erika and a teenager named Jillian. But mostly, her professional history and connections to organisations that have been discussed in public conversation about child safety issues. Owens emphasises she is not accusing Kirk of a crime. But argues that these details raise serious questions.

The 'Wild Update' on the Jillian Story

On 17 February 2026, Owens posted what she described as a 'wild update ' about the so‑called 'Erika Kirk/Jillian story,' claiming she had received a tip from someone who had researched the situation and shared their findings with Jillian herself.

According to Owens, the tip indicated that 'at the time of her textual relationship with Erika, Jillian lived in a trailer park within a neighbourhood that is known for the highest incidence of child sex trafficking.' Owens said she forwarded that information to Jillian, who — Owens says — confirmed it was true.

Owens then summarised what she views as a troubling set of details.

She wrote that after Erika allegedly struck up a friendship with a 15‑year‑old girl living without a father in a trailer park, the then‑25‑year‑old Kirk 'proceeds to love‑bomb Jillian by telling her how beautiful she is.

She added that Erika reportedly asked for the girl's address to send chocolate‑covered strawberries. Owens' post alleged Erika 'knew she was a minor.' Yet organised photographs without communicating with the girl's mother. Owens said anyone defending this behaviour 'is demented.'

No law enforcement agency has confirmed any investigation or criminal charges against Erika related to these claims.

Patterns in Associations and Career Activities

Beyond the initial Jillian claims, Owens laid out several points she said show a pattern of Kirk's proximity to child trafficking areas.

Owens said that 'at the insistence of Tyler Bowyer who introduced Erika to Charlie,' Turning Point USA opened facilities near Arizona Mills. She described as 'one of the highest places for child sex trafficking in the state,' and said this occurred shortly before Charlie and Erika reportedly began dating.

She added that Erika has been unable to recall how she met Bowyer.

She also referenced Kirk's role leading Romanian Angels, a project under her nonprofit with ties to U.S. Marines and Colonel Otto Busher, whom Owens claims was later accused of trafficking‑related misconduct. But media reports and archived information describe the initiative as focused on gift sponsorship for orphans.

Owens also noted Erika's involvement with the 'Make Heaven Crowded' tour alongside Pastor Greg Laurie of Harvest Christian Fellowship. She pointed out that legal actions involve the church and allegations tied to minors from a Romanian orphanage. Owens questioned why Erika would participate in that context.

There were also alleged inconsistencies in Erika's statements about living in Chongqing, China, where Owens says she once claimed to work with trafficking victims. Owens pointed out that U.S. State Department data lists the area as a trafficking concern, and suggested it needs clarification.

These points, Owens wrote, represent a 'pattern' rather than isolated coincidences.

However, she has not presented independent evidence tying Kirk legally to criminal conduct.

Context: Candace Owens vs Erika Kirk

The Owens–Kirk public dispute must also be understood in the context of internal divisions within conservative circles following Charlie Kirk's assassination in September 2025.

Owens, once a close ally and former communications director at Turning Point USA, has criticised some of Erika's leadership and has shared conspiracy theories about his death.

Erika Kirk has publicly challenged some of Owens' claims and warned against unfounded speculation.

Fact‑checking organisations have repeatedly stated that allegations of trafficking linked to Kirk's Romanian charity work are unsubstantiated and not supported by official records.

Owens Lacks Proof

As of now, there are no public arrest records, investigations, or official charges against Erika Kirk related to any criminal conduct described in social media posts. Publicly available reporting indicates that claims about Romania or other trafficking ties remain unverified and largely based on online speculation.

While Owens has framed her posts as a call for transparency and accountability, critics argue that using serious language about vulnerable populations without verified evidence can fuel misinformation and mischaracterisation online.

Erika Kirk has yet to respond to Owens' several claims.
