Overview

Chennai Super Kings will be buoyed after their thrilling one-run win over the Delhi Daredevils in their last game. Mahendra Singh Dhoni's side dug deep and managed to defend what was ostensibly an innocuous total of 150 runs on the board. Delhi needed 18 runs to win off the last over and a brilliant fielding effort from Suresh Raina to save two runs saw the three-time Champions through.

It will be a massive wakeup call for Chennai, whose batting flattered to deceive in the opening exchanges and it was only through Dhoni's tactical approach that they managed to cross the 150-run mark. However, he will be pleased by the effort put in by Ashish Nehra, who took three wickets at an economy of just over six.

Meanwhile, The Sunrisers will come into the game with a point to prove after a disappointing 2014 season under their belt. They finished last year's tournament at 6th spot, winning six and losing eight games they were involved in.

For this term they have retained 13 players while allowing 11 others to leave. Dale Steyn is among the pick of the players at their disposal and the South African has to play out of his skin for the team to start on a winning note.
