The premiere synopsis of The Good Wife season 7 is out and it seems like Alicia Florrick will look at resettling her life after the entire attorney election fiasco.

In the upcoming season, Peter Florrick's wife could be seen facing a tough time trying to restart her law career all over again. In the previous season, fans saw her emotional connection end abruptly with Finn Polmar, as he reunited with his wife and wanted to avoid an "sexual conflict" with Alicia.

However, rumours suggest that Alicia's love life could sparkle in the upcoming season as Jeffrey Dean Morgan is joining the popular courtroom drama as Jason, who will assist Julianna Margulies' character in establishing her law firm.

Here is the official synopsis of the CBS show via TVLine:

Alicia attempts to revive her struggling law career by once again starting her own law firm, this time with the assistance of Jason Crouse (new cast member Jeffrey Dean Morgan), a calm, experienced investigator whom she hires. Also, to help with his Presidential campaign, Peter engages Willa Eastman (Margo Martindale, recurring), a national strategist who hides her intelligence and cunning under a fake, folksy charm, creating an interesting dynamic with Eli in the process. In addition, Cush Jumbo joins the cast as attorney Lucca Quinn.

Peter Florrick's presidential storyline will be an integral part of the season 7 plot. In the previous season, Peter tells his wife about his decision to contest the presidential elections. According to the synopsis he will hire a new assistance who would hide her intelligence beneath her looks.

The Good Wife season 7 will premiere on CBS on 4 October.
