India progressed to the semi-final of the ICC T20 World Cup 2016 after registering a six-wicket victory over Australia at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium, Mohali, on 27 March. It was Virat Kohli's unbeaten 82 that helped his side seal a berth in the last four of the tournament.

Kohli was named the Player of the Match for his impressive performance against Steven Smith's side. The right-handed batsman admitted that his knock in Mohali was his best performance in his T20 career. It is for the second time that Kohli has helped India to cross the finish line. The first one came against Pakistan.

IBTimes UK looks at how sports personalities, former players and celebrities reacted to Kohli's brilliance.

The morning after..... @imVkohli's batting covering up cracks in the batting wall. Getting too reliant on these get-out-of-jail efforts
