Celeb couple Jennifer Lawrence and Cooke Maroney have sparked wedding rumours after a courthouse sighting in New York. The duo got engaged in February this year.

The Oscar-winning actress and her art dealer fiance were spotted at New York City's marriage bureau on Monday along with a friend, a photographer, and two security guards, according to Page Six. Jennifer Lawrence was seen clutching a piece of paper and even an onlooker had confirmed their visit in a now-deleted tweet.

"When you go get your marriage license and Jennifer Lawrence walks by to tie the knot before your eyes. Yeah, kids, City Hall is COOL. The place to go!," the person wrote on Twitter.

According to the report, the photographer seen with the couple was Mark Seliger- the top celebrity lensman known for shooting Vanity Fair and GQ covers.

Since then rumours of the two getting secretly married are doing to rounds and the fans aren't that shocked, as the "Silver Lining" actress's preference of keeping things low-key is a well-known fact. Although the actress has announced a big wedding party next month, and has shared that her bachelorette party has been ticked off.

"I just met Cooke and I wanted to marry him. We wanted to marry each other. We wanted to commit fully and you know, he's my best friend. I feel very honored to become a Maroney," she told the "NAKED with Catt Sadler" podcast.

Lawrence also told the Podcast that she will be taking Maroney's last name and said she wants to "legally bind" him with her forever. "It's the greatest. You find your favourite person on the planet, you're like, 'You can't leave.' So, I wanted to take up on that offer," she said.

The actress started dating the Gladstone 64 art gallery owner in June 2018. The couple has recently been apartment hunting in Manhattan. The representatives of the couple are yet to give a statement on the wedding rumours.
