Justin Bieber reportedly called off a romantic date with Selena Gomez soon after his ex-flame attended his concert in Los Angeles the week before. Just days before Gomez attended the Sorry singer's concert, the two had liked each others photos on Instagram, fuelling dating rumours.

"Justin wanted to rent out the Staples Center after his concert to do a repeat date night screening of Titanic for Selena because he is trying to get back with her," a source told Eonline.

"I don't know why he didn't go through with it, and I also don't know if he ever even told Selena about his plan but I do know he is really obviously trying to date her again," the source said. "He wanted to do something big and extravagant for her like this and had been making arrangements for the movie date before his concert even started."

The 22-year-old Baby singer's attempt to win back his ex-love was apparently thwarted due to some argument. "The speculation is that an argument had taken place between the two before the show since he cancelled the date plans," the source added. "Something had shifted Bieber's mood completely."

Last week, Bieber shared a romantic kissing photo with the 23-year-old Come and Get It singer on Instagram, which he captioned: "feels". The photo received over three million likes and was even "liked" by Gomez, who wrote: "Perfect". Two days later, the Hands to Myself singer attended Bieber's concert in Los Angeles and was spotted backstage of the concert venue.

"[Selena and Justin] looked genuinely comfortable together," another source said. "They both looked really happy."

There are worrying signs that Bieber is finding it difficult to cope with his hectic schedule and personal life. Last Tuesday, Bieber cancelled his meet and greets with fans citing "emotionally exhausted to the point of depression".
