M62 Closes After Lorry Spills Dozens of Chickens

The M62 has closed after a lorry crashed and spilled dozens of chickens onto the road.
The caged birds were flung across the motorway during the collision near the Eccles Interchange in the early hours.
About 1,500 birds were killed, North West Motorway Police said.
One lane on the eastbound carriageway remained closed between junction 11 (Birchwood) and junction 12 (M60 Eccles Interchange) while emergency crews cleared the crates and other debris from the road.
