Jamie Redknapp believes that Wilfried Zaha will shine for Manchester United next season, with the young winger getting prepared to make the move to the Premier League giants this summer.

The Red Devils beat the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool to sign Zaha in January, with Crystal Palace insisting that they keep hold of their biggest star until the end of the season in the fight for promotion.

And as United look ahead to create even more competition in their attacking area, Redknapp insists that the club's fans won't be disappointed with the £15 milion English youngster's step up to the big time.

"I can't wait for him to get to Manchester United, where he will thrive," Redknapp said in the Daily Mail.

Wilfried Zaha
Wilfried Zaha will star for Manchester United next season, Jamie Redknapp says.

"He is maintaining his form for Palace and dazzled Leeds with his pace and direct runs. I know of scouts who watched Zaha and recommended against signing him because he uses too many tricks."

Meanwhile, as Crystal Palace sit one point outside the automatic promotion zone in the Championship, Zaha has apologized for making a gesture at Leeds fans who were taunting him for his move to United.

Zaha put his middle finger up at the crowd for chanting about his deal with their biggest rivals this weekend, but later admitted on twitter that he shouldn't have reacted like that.

"I want to apologise for the gesture I did towards the Leeds fans in yesterday's game," he wrote. "Very unprofessional from me."

Zaha will complete his move to United after Crystal Palace play their last game.
