Europe is in for a Sweet Sweet Fantasy treat next year as Mariah Carey is set to bring her tour over in 2016. The Grammy-winning singer will launch the jaunt in the UK in March, marking her first performances in the country for 13 years.
Glasgow will have the pleasure of welcoming the superstar at the SSE Hydro arena on 15 March before she moves onto five other UK, including Manchester, Birmingham and London, where she will grace the stage at the O2 Arena on 23 March. Tickets go on pre-sale from 9am on Tuesday 15 December 2015 and full sale at 9am on Friday 18 December 2015 at various outlets, including Ticketmaster.
Announcing the new Sweet Sweet Fantasy tour dates, Carey, 45, said: "Lambily, it's been too long!! I'm so excited to be coming to Europe to perform for you all. I promise we're going to share the most amazing moments together and I have so many surprises in store for you daahhlings! Can't wait to see you all in your hometowns. Love Mariah xx."
The All I Want For Christmas Is You singer is currently in the run of her sold-out Las Vegas Number 1's residency, which started in May 2015 at Caesar's Palace and concludes in February 2016, just in time for her European stint. The residency featured Carey performing each of the 18 Billboard chart-topping singles she has accumulated over the course of her career, including We Belong Together, Hero, Vision Of Love and Fantasy.
Carey's 14th studio album, Me. I Am Mariah... The Elusive Chanteuse, reached number three on the US Billboard 200 chart when it was released in the UK in May 2014. Fans in the UK will no doubt race to buy tickets for the singer's UK dates, with her last visit taking place in 2003 on her Charmbracelet tour.
