Update: Louise Maloney has now been found safe.

Police have launched an urgent appeal to help find a woman who has not been seen since her work's Christmas party in Manchester. Louise Maloney, 24, from Chadderton, has not been seen since around 2am on Monday 12 December in the Sugar Buddha bar in Deansgate Locks.

Maloney, believed to be a mother of two young children, did not return home from her night out and has not made contact with friends or family since.

An appeal on Facebook for information by her friend Jenn Hayes, which has been shared more than 21,000 times, described how it is "not like her to not go home to her kids".

The former Failsworth High School pupil, who works as a sales consultant at a jewellery store, is described as white with blonde shoulder-length hair, blue eyes, of slim build and around 5ft 4ins tall.

She was last seen wearing a cream waist-length fur coat, a black knee-length dress with lace sleeves, black boots with studs on the heels and was carrying a small black clutch bag.

Sergeant Liam McCarthy, from GMP's Oldham borough, said: "This is extremely out of character for Louise and her family are understandably very worried about her.

"We have a team of dedicated officers trying to locate her and we know she was last seen in the Deansgate Locks area.

"As many people are out for Christmas parties, Sunday was likely to busy with revellers and I would appeal to anyone who might have seen her that night to please contact police immediately.

"I would also urge anyone who thinks they have seen Louise since, or someone matching her description, to also call us.

"Any information you have, not matter how small, could help us find Louise and make sure she is safe."

Anyone with any information about Louise should call police on 101 quoting incident number 2084 of Monday 12 December 2016.
