Practice review
Vinales was the fastest during both the qualifying sessions on Friday as he clocked a time of 1:40.356s and 1:39.477s in Free Practice 1 and Free Practice 2 respectively. However, his Yamaha teammate Valentino Rossi has continued to struggle on Friday's session.
The Italian has already expressed his desire to use the Michelin front tyre with the stiffer and it has been delayed by the truck strike in Argentina. Rossi is expected to receive those tyres on Friday evening, while he has lost a significant amount of time at Termas de Río Hondo Circuit.
Honda rider and defending champion Marc Marquez moved nine places to finish second on the second practice session and was 0.301s behind his compatriot. Aspar's Karel Abraham and Alvaro Bautista finished FP 2 in third and fourth place respectively.
