New Footage of Savannah Guthrie's Kidnapped Mum Shows Blood Trail Outside Front Door
Blood found as FBI joins search for Savannah Guthrie's mother

The quiet residential streets of Tucson, Arizona, have become the centre of a desperate federal search following the suspected abduction of Savannah Guthrie's mum, Nancy Guthrie. As the 84-year-old mother mysteriously vanishes and remains missing, investigators are grappling with increasingly grim physical evidence left at the scene.
What began as a welfare check on a Sunday afternoon has rapidly escalated into a high-stakes kidnapping case that has captivated the nation. The recent update on the case shows disturbing evidence, raising questions about whether Nancy is safe and doing well.
Blood Stain Found Outside Residence
New forensic details have emerged that suggest a violent struggle took place during the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie. Footage and reports from the scene indicate that a trail of blood was discovered on the premises. NewsNation Senior National Correspondent Brian Entin captured drops of blood inside Nancy's home and on her front porch. The Pima County Sheriff's Department confirmed after collecting DNA samples of the blood inside the house that they belonged to Nancy. It is unclear, though, if the blood on the porch is also Nancy's, but investigators are currently looking at it.
During a press briefing, officials noted they found concerning items at the home, including signs of forced entry. The presence of blood both inside and outside the residence suggests the elderly woman, who has very limited mobility, may have been forcibly removed from her sanctuary whilst she slept. Nancy's disappearance raised concerns because the officers could not decide the motive behind the abduction. It was clearly not robbery because her mobile phone, wallet, and car were still at home. However, an alleged ransom note demanding millions of dollars' worth of Bitcoin for Nancy's release has reportedly been forwarded to the authorities.

'Bring Her Home'
Breaking her silence two days after the disappearance, Savannah Guthrie released a poignant statement describing her mother as 'hard iron granite strong'. The news anchor, who is currently in Arizona with her family, skipped her usual hosting duties to oversee the search efforts. Guthrie characterised her mother as a 'woman of deep conviction' and a 'good and faithful servant', urging the public to raise their voices in unison to bring her home.
The emotional toll was evident as Guthrie's colleagues at NBC read her message on air, which stated, 'We believe in goodness. We believe in humanity. Above all, we believe in Him'. 'Bring her home', Savannah pleaded. The family has stressed that Nancy is 'as sharp as a tack' and did not wander off due to cognitive issues. Instead, they are leaning on their faith and the 'collective action' of the community to sustain their hope during this traumatic period.
Federal Authorities Join Race Against Time
Nancy was last seen at her home on Saturday. When she failed to appear for church services the following morning, the family alerted emergency services at approximately 12:15. Nancy's medical needs compound the urgency of the search, as she requires daily medication that is vital for her survival. Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos pleaded with Nancy's abductors to release her because of her condition.
'If she's alive right now, her meds are vital. I can't stress that enough. It's been better than 24 hours, and the family tells us if she doesn't have those meds, it can become fatal', Nanos said. Whilst investigators are still hoping to find her alive, the combination of her limited mobility and the evidence of violence at the scene has created a dire situation for the missing 84-year-old.
