Overview

New Zealand have already logged a 3-0 win in the series following their wins in the first two and the fourth ODIs, while the third game ended in a tie.

In the previous ODI, Rohit Sharma scored 79 while MS Dhoni (79) and Ravindra Jadeja (62) made half-centuries late in the game and remained unbeaten to post a respectable total of 278 in 50 overs.

However, Ross Taylor was the star for the Black Caps as his unbeaten knock of 112 runs helped Brendon McCullum's side register another win in Hamilton. Kane Williamson (60) also displayed his heroics with the fourth half-century in as many matches.

Taylor and McCullum (49) helped the hosts chase down the target of 279 set by India with 11 balls to spare in their innings.

India's leading wicket taker in the series, Mohammed Shami, could do little to prevent the hosts from achieving victory with only one wicket to his name on the day.

Dhoni will be hoping that his side salvage some pride in the last ODI match before the Test Series between the two sides begins next month.
