Newcastle United v Wolves preview
Newcastle United v Wolves preview IB Times UK

Newcastle led by Demba Ba have done well this year compared to other years. They lie just below Chelsea, at number 6 at the premier league table with an impressive 12 wins. Although they suffered a crushing 5-0 defeat at the hands of Tottenham they have had a pretty impressive season this year, especially their 3-0 victory over Manchester United.

The big news for Newcastle fans is that Italian defender Davide Santon (signed last summer) will be playing in Molineux on Saturday.

The Molineux club, on the other hand, have had a very poor season losing a total 15 matches this year. Also, Wolves manager Mick McCarthy was sacked on February 13 after his team suffered a series of humiliating defeats, 5-1 loss against West Brom being the most recent.

Wolves currently lie in the relegation zone, on goal difference, in spite of having the same points as Blackburn and QPR, who are in the two places above them. Being in the danger zone, Wolves (temporarily managed by Terry Connor) will be trying their best to secure a win against the Magpies.
