Google’s Big Day Launch: Android L, Nexus 9, Android Wear 2.0 and Android TV Coming Soon
Nexus 6 aka Nexus X has apparently surfaced in a newly leaked image.

Google's next-gen Nexus smartphone has apparently become one of the most anticipated gadgets of the year, after Apple's iPhone 6 which is all set to officially see the light of day today, thanks to intense rumour mills that are working overtime to report on new 'expected' aspects of the yet-to-be-released Nexus smartphone.

As per the available information at this juncture, Google's next-gen Nexus is expected to be released and marketed as 'Nexus X', rather than as Nexus 6. The smartphone is highly expected to be released during the Halloween season that starts late October. This means that we can expect the Nexus X to be launched sometime between late October and mid-November this year.

Now, in line with the above Nexus X aspects, an image which apparently displays the Nexus X has just been leaked by tipster EMTLeaks via Twitter.

The tipster mentions about Nexus X surfacing over the Google Play app repository in France, and has also put up an image of what is supposedly the leaked next-gen Nexus X smartphone.

Also, as per the leaked image, Nexus X, once official, should be available in two storage variants viz 16GB and 32GB, with black, white and yellow colour schemes.

However, no mention about the technical-specifications of Nexus X has been made either by the tipster or within the newly surfaced image.

Expected key hardware aspects and pricing of Nexus X smartphone

Google's Nexus X is rumoured to be manufactured by Motorola this time around, and the manufacturer apparently has a Moto S (tentatively termed Motorola Shamu) in the works which is expected to be released as Nexus X during Halloween.

As per recent reports, Nexus X is expected to incorporate a large 5.9in display, and run Google's Android L (showcased at the company's IO conference) straight out of the box.

Other tech specs of Nexus X could include a 2.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor with 3GB RAM, 13 MP primary camera with a 2MP secondary camera, and connectivity options like 4G-LTE, Wi-Fi, NFC and microUSB.

Also, as Google is known to launch its most important products -- both software and hardware -- during the fall every year, it should come as no surprise if we get to witness the Nexus X and Android L being officially launched together.

As for the pricing aspects of Nexus X, a recent listing on Indian import-export portal Zauba lists the per-unit price of Motorola Shamu (expected to be called Moto S/Nexus X) bearing model number XT1112, as INR 34,982 that roughly translates to USD579 and £349 respectively.

The above price, though unofficial at this point in time, is a clear indicator of the high-end nature of the device.

However, the above aspects have not yet been confirmed either by Google or by Motorola, so users are advised to take the 'surfaced information about Nexus X' with a pinch of salt.
