Overview

World number one Novak Djokovic will look to continue his march towards his 28th career title as he takes on world number seven Tomas Berdych in the quarter-finals on 30th March.

The Serbian comes into this game on the back of a 6-3, 6-4 win over Dominic Thiem but the scoreline does not tell the complete story as Djokovic was harried by his opponent for long spells during the game. However, the defending Miami Open champion got past that to reach the quarter-finals and he will be looking to move one step closer to a sixth Miami Open crown.

His opponent Tomas Berdych too had a difficult fourth round tie, eventually beating Richard Gasquet 6-4, 3-6, 7-5 to reach the quarter-finals. Berdych has a favourable Miami Open record, reaching the semi-finals in each of the last two years, but he will know that he needs something special in order to upset the current world number one.
