Italian giants AC Milan are ready to make an offer to Queens Park Rangers for creative midfielder Adel Taarabt.

The 23-year-old has been in impressive form so far this season despite the London club struggling in the relegation zone. The 23-year-old has scored four league goals and has looked a constant threat with his superb range of passing and undeniable skill.

QPR boss Harry Redknapp will certainly not want to lose one of his most potent attacking forces but there is a belief that AC Milan will look to convince him to make the move to Italy this month.

Taarabt has openly spoken of his desire to join the Serie A side and hinted that his agent has already been in talks with officials from Milan.

"I would only refuse offers from the big English clubs if Milan made me an offer," Taarabt told the Daily Mail last month.

"My agent is in talks with Galliani, but it depends on what happens with Robinho and (reported AC Milan target Javier) Pastore. Milan aren't going through a glorious period now, and they're no longer a part of the top clubs."

A report in Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport has suggested that AC Milan see the attacking midfielder as a cheaper alternative to Real Madrid star Kaka who has been linked with a return to the San Siro.

Taarabt only has 18 months remaining on his contract and there is a suggestion that he would be far cheaper than Kaka.

There is also the added bonus that Taarabt has a French passport so he will not take up a non-EU spot in the AC Milan squad.

He has also earned plaudits for his performances this season after previously being seen as a luxury player who struggled to produce his best form when playing in a struggling side.
