Retailer Marks and Spencer have revealed the contents of their special hampers to be handed to guests at the Queen's Patron's Lunch, part of the Monarch's 90th birthday celebrations this year. The Patron's Lunch will be held on 12 June 2016 to celebrate the Queen's patronage of over 600 charities and organisations.

Each of the 10,000 guests attending the street party will receive their own bespoke hamper lunch, specially selected by Marks and Spencer to showcase British produce and ingredients. The hamper will include a lunch and afternoon tea picnic.

Inside the hamper:

  • Scottish Smoked Salmon mousse with hot and cold smoked salmon
  • Pembrokeshire chicken roulade salad
  • 'Posh' raspberry Royale
  • Best of British sandwich selection
  • Mini piccalilli pork pie
  • Classic duo of butterfly cakes
  • British cheese & seeded oatcakes
  • Pressed Windsor apple juice
  • Pimms
  • Water

The hamper contains a smoked salmon mousse, chicken roulade salad, sandwiches, a pork pie and can of Pimms.

Sandra Ziles, Head of Product Development at M&S, said: "The Patron's Lunch Hamper has been created by our food experts who have put all their passion and creative know-how into devising a very special menu for the celebration. We've worked closely with our farmers and producers to ensure we showcase the very best of British produce at The Patron's Lunch and we're looking forward to seeing guests enjoying the picnic on The Mall."

Hampers suitable for vegetarians, vegans, children and those avoiding gluten will also be available to choose.

Along with Patron organisations, members of the public will be able to attend the lunch via a public ballot open until 31 March. 2,000 tickets at £150 will be made available to the general public.
