Rihanna reportedly reached out to former boyfriend Chris Brown, after he was denied entry into Canada.

The Canadian Government did not disclose why the 25-year-old R&B singer was denied entry. However, it is believed to be because of his extensive criminal record.

Brown, who was scheduled to perform in Montreal and Toronto, infamously assaulted the five-time Grammy winner in 2009, by hitting her so forcefully that she had major bruising on her face, a split lip, and a bloody nose.

However, the two of them still have a strong and complicated bond, despite their public breakup and drama.

According to Urban Islandz, the 27-year-old Barbadian beauty got in touch with Brown because she felt bad for him.

"No one really know Chris like RiRi and if you know her you will know that she is a very thoughtful and compassionate person," a source said.

"She gave him a call had a little heart to heart with him because he is clearly feeling a bit depressed by all the issues going on with his tour," the insider added.

Meanwhile, in an interview with Daily Mail, Rihanna's father Ronald Fenty revealed that his daughter and Brown will not be getting back together.

"I don't know what their relationship is now. At the basketball, they just said 'hi and hello'. When we was going to the car park he was trying to talk with her but she turned and was talking to somebody else, so he came and talked to me and I had a picture with him. Afterwards Robyn said, 'dad you really taking pictures with he though?'" [sic] he said.

"Let her do what she wants to do. This recycling thing don't work for everything, people don't ask me if I could go back with Ms Fenty.

"Chris is a player, he ain't ready for no one women yet, he ain't ready. He's a party guy," Fenty added.
