Former world Number 1 Roger Federer will take on Stanislas Wawrinka in the Men's semi-final clash of the 2015 Rome Masters on 16 May.

Federer defeated Tomáš Berdych in straight sets 6-3, 6-3 on Friday to seal a berth in the semi-final of the Rome Masters. The Swiss tennis star has been very impressive as he has not dropped a set so far in the ongoing competition.

The 33-year-old will be hoping he can continue his impressive run on Saturday in order to reach the finals in Rome. It is going to be a tough task for Federer as he is up against Wawrinka.

Meanwhile, Wawrinka has a huge mental boost ahead of the semi-final fixture after defeating seven-time Rome Masters winner Rafael Nadal in the previous round. The first set was decided on a tiebreaker and the 30-year-old managed to come out victorious.

The Spaniard lost the second set as Wawrinka went on to win the tie 7-6, 6-2. He is up against his compatriot on Saturday and will be looking to beat Federer in order to make it to the final on Sunday.
