Is Simon Cowell Having Baby With Friend's Wife Lauren Silverman?

Simon Cowell is reportedly expecting a baby with New York socialite Lauren Silverman.

According to Us Weekly, the creator of Britain's Got Talent and The X Factor, 53, is due to become a first-time father early next year and with the 36-year-old brunette is said to be 'around 10 weeks along' .

Although Silverman's relationship with Cowell's friend Andrew Silverman is over, she is still technically married to the real estate mogul.

"Lauren and Andrew have been unhappy in their marriage for some time, and their divorce has been in the works for a while," a source told the publication.

"As their marriage deteriorated, she and Simon became close".

Speculation has been rampant ever since Silverman was spotted with a prominent stomach bulge earlier in July.

She allegedly plans to leave her estranged husband to be with the father of her child.

Cowell and Silverman have frequently been seen on holiday together, with the socialite a regular fixture during the mogul's annual holidays on the Caribbean island of St Barts.

His last relationship was with make-up artist Mezhgan Hussainy, but the pair broke off their engagement last year.

The record label boss previously said he was not the right material to be a father.

"God, no. I couldn't have children. If I had them here drawing on the walls I'd go nuts.

"With kids, you've got a routine you can't escape from. You've got to be up at a certain time. Got to listen. When all you want to do is sit in a corner thinking."
