As of now, fans had an impression that it is Kody who initiated the divorce, but a recently released promo of the finale of Sister Wives season 5 revealed that the eldest sister wife was the one who actually initiated the idea.

"I am divorcing Kody," the mother-of-one announced in the promo, to which Kody's response was heartbreaking.

"The word 'divorce' is like shattering glass," the polygamist said.

"I actually don't know why Meri wants Kody and I to come over and talk with her," Robyn is seen saying in the TLC video. "I'm wondering if it has something to do with her schooling," she added.

Meanwhile, Mariah's mother responded to the pregnancy rumours which sparked off right after the divorce saga. She tweeted:

Though the divorce happened last year, Meri keeps tweeting about how happy she is inside the Brown house along with her sister wives.

The highly controversial separation of the Brown patriarch and his wife of 24 years also means that after legally marrying Robyn, her children from her first husband can avail benefits like insurance among others.

Sister Wives is a controversial family reality show that documents the life of polygamist Kody Brown, who lives with four wives Meri, Janelle, Christine, and Robyn and 14 biological and three step children.

The show airs every Sunday night on the TLC network.
