Dubai Police Department adds £360,000 Lamborghini Aventador to fleet Dubai Police Department

Don't worry, it is the antithesis of the dreaded police mug shot. It seemed like the perfect opportunity to win Facebook glory when Dubai Police recently allowed people to pose next to one of the forces' two supercars, a Lamborghini and a Ferrari.

The take a snap with the supercar opportunity was organised by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) as part of their education board's Ramadan Charity event.

"Come and get your photo taken with a Dubai Police Ferrari! It's here at our office in Academic City until 12pm," read the tweet from KHDA.

Visitors were given the opportunity to peek inside the two supercars, a Lamborghini and Ferrari, and sit in the driver's seat for that perfect selfie. All funds collected from the photo opportunity were channelled towards the Ramadan Charity fund.

Dubai Police patrol away in style

Last year, Dubai police unveiled a Ferrari to add to their crime-fighting fleet shortly after adding a Lamborghini.

The Ferrari was unveiled in glory at a ceremony held at the foot of the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world.

"Dubai is a unique city and everything in it should reflect its uniqueness and for that reason police will add a Ferrari sports car to its patrol fleet," said Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Dubai's police chief.
