Sophie Turner will be soon seen in a TV drama series of the mobile streaming service Quibi. She stars opposite Corey Hawkins in the new series titled, "Survive".

It was a busy year for Sophie Turner after wrapping up the "Game of Thrones" and getting married to Joe Jonas. She has decided not to stop. The 23-year-old actress is returning to television with Quibi's new series.

Ouibi, global entertainment company Gunpowder & Sky and EMH Consulting Group jointly announced that Turner has been cast in the new thriller "Survive". The series is currently in production. "Survive" is based on a critically-acclaimed novel of the same name by Alex Morel.

The story is about Jane (Sophie Turner) and Paul (Corey Hawkins), the only two survivors of a plane crash on a remote snow-covered mountain. The two will have to work together to survive extreme conditions. They will eventually get back to civilization. While dealing with the extreme conditions, they will recall personal trauma, especially Jane who recently attempted suicide.

According to the Entertainment Weekly, Turner has mentioned in a statement that "[Jane] is a complex character fighting against the odds to not only save her life but to also find her own source of strength and courage."

She hopes that her character is relatable to those suffering from personal trauma. She wants people to have faith on their mental strength, and always seek support whenever they need. Turner added that she couldn't be more honoured to play the role of Jane in "Survive".

The novel has been adapted by Richard Abate and Jeremy Ungar for the project. The show is being produced by EMH Consulting Group and Gunpowder & Sky.

Van Toffler, the CEO of Gunpowder & Sky said in a statement that after bagging the project, they knew the cast was important. He said he was happy that Turner joined them with her elaborate talent pool. "I'm also thrilled to be making a movie with Mark Pellington who had the office next to me at MTV in the 80s and has grown to be an exceptional director," he said.

Quibi is a streaming service which provides content in "quick bites" of 10 minutes or even less. The streaming service is all set to launch on April 6, 2020.

GOT fans will definitely be thrilled to watch Sophie Turner, but not as Sansa Stark this time around. They will get to see her as any other girl trying to survive both mentally and physically.
