Overview

The Zouks are arguably the in-form team of the tournament, coming into this clash after winning five out of their last six games, eventually finishing in the third place on the league table with 12 points. The Zouks have had a tournament of contrasting halves: the first half saw them win only one out of their first four games, before coming into life in the second half of the league.

In Johnson Charles, the Zouks have the highest-run getter of the tournament so far, with the opener scoring 410 at a strike rate of 143.35 in the 10 games he has played. Charles has been well supported by Shane Watson, Andre Fletcher and skipper Darren Sammy who have contributed at crucial moments with the bat.

The bowling too has looked solid with Jerome Taylor, Delorn Johnson and Shane Watson picking up wickets while also remaining economical. The Zouks are currently playing like a well-oiled unit, and will be favourites to reach what will be their first appearance in the final of the CPL.

The Knight Riders have had a topsy-turvy 2016 CPL so far, winning five and losing five to eventually finish with 10 points on the league table.

That the Knight Riders managed to finish in the fourth spot in the table was also due to the fact that Barbados Tridents and St Kitts had poor tournaments. The Knight Riders' line-up has superstars, and in Hashim Amla and Colin Munro, they have two batsmen who are in the top five run-getters' list.

Similarly, Dwayne Bravo and Sunil Narine have performed brilliantly with the ball, picking up 19 and 13 wickets respectively, with Bravo leading the bowling charts. However, the Knight Riders have failed to fire together as a unit, resulting in losing games that they should have won.
