Oscar Pistorius has spoken out about the killing of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp one year ago on 14 February 2013.
The 30-year-old was shot multiple times and died at Pistorius's upmarket home in Pretoria. He denies murder, saying he shot through a toilet door after mistaking his girlfriend for a night-time intruder.
The runner's statement, which lamented the loss of his partner and the "heartache" it has caused, was met with mocking disbelief mostly on twitter.
