Users of the newest Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (N7100) will be able to taste the HyperDroidJBX custom ROM bringing the goodness of Android 4.2.1 (Jelly Bean). It is based on CyanogenMod 10.1 (CM10.1) sources. The ROM features hybrid theme, fastest customisable launcher and more.

Pre-requisites:

  • Ensure that all data is backed up
  • Make sure that the USB driver is installed
  • Ensure the device is rooted and has ClockworkMod (CWM) recovery installed
  • Perform a Dalvik Cache wipe

To install HyperDroidJBX Android 4.2.1 ROM on Galaxy Note 2:

  • Download HyperDroidJBX Android 4.2.1 ROM and Google Apps on the computer
  • Connect and mount the device on computer with the help of USB cable and copy the downloaded files to the SD card, while ensure the file is in the SD card root
  • Turn your Galaxy Note 2 off and disconnect from USB cable
  • The device should enter Recovery mode
  • In CWM recovery, perform data wipe and scroll to Flash Zip from SD Card option
  • Select Choose Zip from SD Card
  • Navigate to the ROM zip file and confirm the installation by tapping on Yes. The installation should begin now
  • Repeat the above step to install Google Apps
  • Go to +++++Go Back and reboot the device by selecting Reboot System Now from the recovery menu. The device will boot up in some time

Your Galaxy Note 2 should now be running the new HyperDroidJBX ROM. You can verify the same by browsing to Settings > About Phone
