Wawrinka back in action after opening day success

Seventh seed Grigor Dimitrov begins his US Open campaign against American hopeful Ryan Harrison while third seed Stanislas Wawrinka is seeking a place in the third round as he comes up against Thomaz Bellucci on the third day of competition in New York.

Where to Watch Live

Dimitrov v Harrison is last on court at the Arthur Ashe Stadium during the day session which begins on Wednesday at 4pm (BST). Wawrinka v Bellucci is second on at same venue during the evening session which commences at midnight (BST). Coverage from both games and the rest of Wednesday's action is available on Sky Sports 3 from 4pm.

Overview

En route to ending Andy Murray's attempt to defend his Wimbledon crown at the quarter-final stage earlier this year, Dimitrov met Ryan Harrison in the first round of competition at SW19. On that occasion the Bulgarian cruised past his opponent today in straight sets.

Dimitrov has since enjoyed contrasting successes at the Rogers Cup where he impressed before being halted by eventual champion Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, but crashed out in the opening round at the Cincinnati Open.

Since Wimbledon, Harrison's ranking has plummeted to 165 after a string of disappointments and the American will undoubtedly be considered the underdog when he meets the world number eight.

Both Wawrinka and Bellucci came through untroubled in their first round matches on Monday. The Australian Open champion defeated Czech Jiri Vesely 6-2, 7-6(6), 7-6(3) while Bellucci secured his place in the second round with a 7-6(4), 6-4, 6-1 win over Frenchman Nicolas Mahut.
