A man was stabbed at Westfield Shopping Centre in White City, London, on 5 August. Police were called at approximately 2pm GMT and attended the scene with emergency services to discover a man suffering from stab wounds.

A spokesperson for the Met Office said: "He has been taken to hospital – an initial assessment states this is not life threatening. Two males have been arrested in connection with this investigation."

The victim of the attack is believed to be in his 20s, however, no further details have been provided on his identity or the identity of the attackers. Officers from Hammersmith and Fulham are continuing their investigations into the incident.

A part of Westfield has been cordoned off while enquiries continue. While police have confirmed that the incident is not terror related, the motive behind the attack is yet to be determined.

According to the Evening Standard, one of the attackers was reportedly heard saying: "We poked him up good."

Witnesses also described "commotion" and "many policemen running". An Air Ambulance was seen flying above the shopping centre after the incident.

Many have taken to social media to react in shock to the attack.
