A woman has survived an 11-storey fall after landing on a car parked where she fell. A passerby saw the woman plummet from the 10th floor of a hotel in Guangxi Province, southwest China and called the police.

It's said that she fell accidentally at around 7am local time on Monday, 11 December while drinking with friends following a fight with her boyfriend that led to the couple breaking up.

Footage shared online shows the woman being rescued by paramedics and policemen.

She can be seen, seemingly unconscious, being lifted by personnel off the roof before being put on a stretcher and taken to hospital.

China Youth Daily reports that she fell some 30 metres onto the Wuling-branded white 4x4 parked below.

Local police officer Zhuo Faxiong said: "The car's roof completely collapsed, but luckily the car reduced the impact of the collision and saved the woman."

The woman is said to be in a stable condition and is recovering in hospital.
